The Quagliotti brand has been a symbol of Italian quality and craftsmanship in the weaving sector since 1933. The company is one of just a handful of Italian businesses that takes care of the product from the fabric to the packaging details. Vicenzo Quagliotti founded a small factory in Chieri, a small town near Turin, in an area with deep-rooted ties to the textile world since the fifteenth century.

In 1955, the founder, with his two sons, Enio and Nanni set up Vincenzo Quagliotti e Figli. The company specialized in the artisan production of bed, table and bathroom fabrics, using mainly natural fibers such as the finest Peruvian Pima and Egyptian Makò, which they used on their own or blended with noble fibers such as linen, silk and cashmere.

Age-old techniques have been preserved and updated to more contemporary designs. The Bandera fabric is one such example. Dating back to 1700, it has been proudly renewed by pairing it with the contemporary Righetto.

“The weaving of the fine double-twisted satin thread highlights the excellence of the workmanship and high quality of the finished product.”

Quagliotti, now in its fourth generation, has stayed true to the values and philosophy linked to the quality of the raw materials, the skill of expert weavers, and the family’s business acumen, resulting in creations that target an international clientele.

The first step towards developing a foreign market occurred in the 1980s with a significant increase in exports to the USA. Since then, Quagliotti’s tailored fabric products have been developed for interior designers, stylists and fashion brands, Royal households, institutions, luxury hotels, yachts and restaurants around the world.

“A family history interwoven in the art of weaving and tailoring since 1933”

There is a constant commitment to the search for new products and tailor-made designs for each client, together with participation in trade fairs and exhibitions linked to the world of lifestyle in potentially more promising markets such as Milan, Paris, Moscow, and Shanghai.

Quagliotti is one of the founder members of the Agenzia di Pollenzo, a project managed by Slow Food which includes the University of Gastronomic Science among its activities. The company’s strong sense of belonging and involvement in activities in its local area means that it takes part in initiatives that promote cultural heritage.
