Banco Azzoaglio was founded by Paolo Azzoaglio, a tradesman and real estate owner, in January 1879 in Via Andrea Doria 17 (Ceva), during the time of mass emigration to America.
The history of the bank was tied to the Ceva area until late 1960s, with the first branch in Garessio, before moving towards Liguria and also expanding to the Langhe and Saluzzo areas. Historic banking products for families, businesses, young people, and investors were developed over the years.
Today, the bank, managed by Erica and Simone Azzoaglio, respectively the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee, together with the CEO, Carlo Ramondetti, is now in the fourth generation. The bank has started its digitalization process and now offers businesses support through dedicated services for entrepreneurs, which include favorable credit terms, business consulting, and corporate and smart lending.
A customer-centric approach and attention to the local area are the core values of the institute which, in keeping with its mission, is finalizing its transformation into a benefit corporation.
