“Guido Gobino Chocolate is distributed in Europe and in many other countries, such as the UAE, Japan and Australia. It is also available beyond our earthly confines.”

Thanks to the partnership with Altec, the company’s Extra Bitter specialties were on board the “Volare” mission with Luca Parmitano in 2013 and the “Vita” mission with Paolo Nespoli in 2017. Chosen by ESA as the Official Bonus Food of the international space missions, Guido Gobino Chocolate is packaged according to criteria that comply with the absence of gravity.

The careful selection of ingredients, total control of the production chain, innovative technologies, and care in design are the hallmarks of Guido Gobino Chocolate. The cocoa used in processing is selected from the most aromatic qualities, with preference given to those from Central and South America because they are more sophisticated and nuanced. Piedmont PGI Hazelnuts are selected from the Alta Langa area and processed in-house. The chocolate production takes place entirely at the Turin plant.

After being selected, the cocoa beans are processed, from cleaning to refining, and made into chocolate: hence the expression “from beans to bar”.

This artisan production process is constantly searching for the perfect ingredient with which to create new flavors that preserve the love of tradition. One such example is Tourinot, Guido Gobino’s interpretation of the Giandujotto Classico, still produced following the traditional extrusion method that makes every chocolate unique. Plus the Cremino al Sale, where the elegance of Gianduja chocolate is enhanced by coarse sea salt and extra virgin Taggiasca olive oil.

In January 2019, Guido Gobino also signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Armani/Dolci for the worldwide production and distribution of the Armani/Dolci by Guido Gobino line. The partnership is the result of the union between the exclusivity and sophistication of Armani/Dolci and the authenticity of handcrafted products resulting from the care and passion of the Turin-based chocolate artisan.

In 2020, a book titled “5 Grams of Happiness” was published to mark the 25th anniversary of the famous Tourinot. It was written by Giuseppe Culicchia and Guido Gobino and tells the story of the Tourinot, which is, after all, the story of his life.

In 2021, the first Sustainability Report was published. “We have identified sustainability as one of the fundamental parameters that contribute to building the quality of our products,” says Guido Gobino. “Sustainability is the only viable way to conceive future development. For some time now, we have been committed to ensuring careful and proper environmental, social and economic management throughout our entire chocolate production chain.”

The specialties, which have been acclaimed and awarded prizes worldwide, have made Guido Gobino one of the most interesting international players in the production of artisan chocolate.
