Turin, 11 June 2019. Three new members join EBT Exclusive Brands Torino, the network of companies promoted by the Industrial Union of Turin for the development and promotion on foreign markets of a selection of brands and products from our territory. The network thus reaches 19 companies that are the expression of Turin’s excellence. In fact, three leading companies in the Turin area are joining EBT: the Building Group, a company specialized in projects and constructions, the Kristina Ti brand of designer Cristina Tardito and Quercetti, a historic company of smart games.

Paolo Pininfarina, president of the network, expresses his satisfaction: “The EBT network of companies celebrates its 8th anniversary and confirms its vitality with the entry of 3 new companies and 5 prestigious partners”, says Pininfarina, who claims: “Today we can proudly say that the network represents a consolidated example of excellence in the promotion of our territory’s products and services on the international markets”.

The satisfaction is the same for all the companies in the network, which registers growing numbers for employment, turnover and volume of exports worldwide.

The three new EBT companies

Born in Turin in 1983 to design, build, imagine, invent the city and living spaces, industry and trade spaces, civil, private and leisure places, the Building Group is renowned for The Number 6, “the most beautiful house in the world”, a contemporary condominium transformed into a Baroque piece of art, just a stone’s throw from Piazza San Carlo. In addition to The Number 6, the Building Group provides the city with other examples of extraordinary restoration projects such as Lagrange12, the restoration of a 17th century building between Via Lagrange and Via Giolitti, Quadrato, the new restoration project for the convent of Sant’Agostino, an ecclesiastical structure dating back to the 16th century in the historic epicentre of Roman Turin and the intervention for the OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the new contemporary centre of innovation and contemporary culture in Turin, where the group manages the space for the Snodo taste. At the end of May, the group inaugurated the expansion of Settimo Cielo, which is now Italy’s largest retail park, awaiting further expansion. On the residential side, the Building Group is working in the centre of Turin in Domus Lascaris, a transformation of an ancient modernist building between via Lacaris and via Alfieri, one block from Piazza Solferino.

After its debut with underwear and swimwear, Kristina Ti is now a brand that offers a total look collection. Cristina Tardito gives form and substance to a brand that gives new life to Italian fashion.

After starting to experiment in the family business, the Tamigi, she has created an original and unique style, as the creator herself explains, “there is no style, there is no charm without knowledge, without a mix of cultures and a hint of humour”.

Founded in 1950 and since then always in Turin, Quercetti is the company that symbolizes the smart Italian way of playing. Constructions, planes, toy missiles, magnetic games. The company’s games, now in the hands of the second generation of the Quercetti family, have accompanied the childhood of millions of children around the world. The most iconic game, the famous colored pegs, have been produced for decades, overcoming even the attraction of digital competition. A billion and a half nails produced each year reach 60 countries around the world. In 2017 they entered the annals of design. EBT 2019 News

In 2019 the EBT network debuts with a series of new features: the first is the EBT Tour, with YEG Ventana Group – EBT’s silver partner – which has developed three tourist packages created according to three thematic categories: Food & Wine, Design & Technology and Lifestyle &Entertainment. EBT’s brands thus become powerful levers for promoting hospitality in and outside the city, three packages that share the same high quality of the cultural, tourist and experience.

The role of UniCredit as Gold Partner gives a new impulse to the Exclusive Brands network in Turin: “UniCredit continues its support to the EBT network – said North West regional manager Fabrizio Simonini – confirming our interest both in EBT’s activity in support of the development of member companies and more generally in the development of the excellence of our territory in the world. As Gold Partner we will work with the network to create synergies in Italy and abroad. For us it is important to support and enhance the strengths of Made in Italy, because we believe that the added value that a bank can give the country today also depends on the ability to grow companies in the territories in which it operates.

In 2019 EBT also continues its promotional activity at an international level to convey the value of the companies that make up the network: in September, in fact, the network will fly to Paris for Maison & Objet, the world’s leading trade fair for lifestyle. EBT’s exhibition space in France will be structured according to six thematic areas: Food, Jewellery | Aesthetics | Fashion, Design and Architecture, Tailoring Textiles, Technology and Accommodation. An ideal path among the Piedmontese excellences enriched by the sampling moment and by the multimedia wall that will make the experience even more complete and involving.

The six thematic categories on display in Paris will be anticipated by the new website of Exclusive Brands Torino www.exclusivebrandstorino.com, the heart of a digital strategy aimed at promoting online the recognition of the EBT brand and the individual brands of the network of companies that are part of it.

EBT number’s growth

A brand that has been increasingly growing, as shown by the data for the 19 companies involved: the network sees an increase in the number of employees, who go from 652 to 783, also increasing the turnover, which increases by 37% compared to 2018 from 159.5 to 218.1 million euros. For the Turin network, moreover, the volume of business in the 60 countries of the world where the companies are present is also growing, with an export value that rises by 16%, from 81.7 to 94.9 million euros, testifying to the international vocation of Turin’s entrepreneurs.

EBT Charity partners

EBT’s excellence, as well as its innate vocation to promote the social and economic network of Turin and Piedmont, is finally reflected in the two charity partners of the network: Casa Oz, which since 2005 has been welcoming children and families who face illness by providing support, assistance and thus helping families in difficulty to find peace of mind; and Fondazione Ricerca Molinette Onlus, a non-profit organisation that since 2001 has acted as a “bridge” between science and medicine by supporting research defined as “translational”, that is, that particular sector which objective is the transfer of the results of laboratory research to the clinical field, through the development of new drugs, new therapies and new intervention measures in patients.
