What artisanship means to us
Paolo Bava oversees the vineyard work, Giulio Bava the wine cellars, Roberto Bava handles the exports along with Giorgio Bava, while Francesca Bava is in charge of marketing: our companies remain strictly family owned and operated. Our name is on the label of our bottles, and it’s always one of the family who presents them in trade fairs and at events, pleased to pour a glass for interested visitors and enjoy a sip with them.
We give it all we’ve got, in every aspect of the job, just like our great-grandparents used to back in 1911, when they founded the winery, and their ancestors before them: our people have been tending the vines on these hills since the mid-seventeenth century.
If artisanship in the world of winemaking essentially means forsaking mass production, our wines can be said to retain a strong identity; our production processes do not seek to alter, but instead respect their unique characteristics and authenticity.
